China's New Map and India's Concerns: What's Happening?

China's recent release of the "2023 edition of the standard China's New Map" has caused international concerns. The map includes areas like Arunachal Pradesh and Aksai Chin, which is an integral part of India. These disagreements have strained relations between the two countries.

China's decision to rename 11 places in Arunachal Pradesh has worried India, as it's seen as an attempt to strengthen its territorial claims. This all happens as India prepares for the G-20 summit, where China's president will attend. Experts wonder if these actions are a response to India's activities before the summit.

China shows a place called Arunachal Pradesh as part of China. This has made India upset because Arunachal Pradesh is actually a part of India. This is not the first time China has done this, and it has made both countries not trust each other.

India's Foreign Minister, S. Jaishankar, said he doesn't like this and that China has been doing this for a long time. He thinks this won't change. He also said that Arunachal Pradesh belongs to India.

Shashi Tharoor

A leader from India's Congress party, Shashi Tharoor, also agreed with Jaishankar. He said that China does this often, and India should stand up against it. Tharoor suggested that India should stop supporting China's idea of "One China Policy" and help Tibetans more.
