Militant Body Recovered in Reasi:

Indian Army operations led by security forces in the jungle area of Reasi district resulted in the discovery of the body of a likely foreign terrorist. The militant, who was injured during a previous operation in Rajouri on August 5, was found with warlike stores. Authorities suspect his involvement in various terror-related activities.

Lt. Col. Suneel Bartwal (Jammu-based defence spokesman) said , "During a search operation along with the police’s Special Operation Group and Village Defence Committee (VDC) members in the early morning hours, the body of a likely foreign terrorist was found in the jungle area. Warlike stores were recovered from the terrorist"


Arrest of Militant Supporters Near LoC:

In the Kashmir valley, eight alleged militant supporters were apprehended near the Line of Control (LoC). The joint effort involving the Army, police's Special Operation called Indian Army Operations Group, and Village Defence Committee led to the recovery of arms from these individuals.


Arms Recovery in Kupwara:

A successful search operation in the Machil sector of Kupwara yielded a significant cache of arms and ammunition. Among the items recovered were AK rifles, pistols, hand grenades, and other incriminating materials.


Bust of Terror Modules in Baramulla:

In Baramulla, the police busted two terror modules and apprehended eight "terrorist associates." These individuals were found to possess hand grenades, pistols, pistol magazines, and live rounds. The arrested persons are believed to have been involved in cross-border smuggling of arms and ammunition.

Amod Nagpure (SSP), Baramulla, While patrolling and securing the Churanda area in Uri, a suspicious individual was spotted. Despite attempting to escape upon noticing the patrol, the person was skillfully apprehended.


Cross-Border Smuggling and Terror Activities:

The arrested individuals from Uri were allegedly involved in the cross-border smuggling of arms and ammunition. It is suspected that they were aiding Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in carrying out terror activities. 

The Indian Army's continuous and determined efforts in the region have resulted in significant strides against terrorism. The recovery of arms, the arrest of militants and their supporters, and the disruption of terror modules demonstrate the commitment to maintaining peace and security in Jammu and Kashmir.
