India's start was poor and they lost four wickets for 66 runs. But Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya then shared a 138-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Kishan scored 82 runs in 81 balls, while Pandya made 87 runs in 90 balls. Ishan kishan hit 9 fours and 2 six, and pandya hit 7 fours and 1 six.
Shaheen Afridi bowled superbly for Pakistan. He took four wickets to give Pakistan a good start. Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah also took three wickets each to keep Pakistan's hopes alive.

Jasprit Bumrah
The Romance of the match increased when India's fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah came out to bat, Jasprit Bumrah delighted the audience with his short 14 ball innings, he scored 16 runs in 14 balls which included 3 fours.
He hit fours in the overs of Shaheen Afridi and Rauf which dismissed the top batsmen of India, these 3 fours gave a lot of joy to the Indian audience. In the end, Bamrah tried to hit a big hit on Rauf's ball which was almost going to be a six but due to the boundary being long, he was out.

Shaheen Afridi was the best performer for his team, he took the wickets of two important batsmen of India Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the beginning. Overall, Shaheen Afridi took 4 wickets for 35 runs in 10 overs, which included the wickets of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli along with India's explosive batsman Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja. Rauf, and Naseem Shah took three wickets each for Pakistan.
2nd Inning
Pakistan's second innings could not start and the match was abandoned. Based on the results of this match, Pakistan remains at the top of Group A, while India opened their account in the tally after sharing points.
Both teams were disappointed by the abandonment of the match due to rain. India had a good opportunity to beat Pakistan and start the tournament on a good note, but the rain dashed their hopes.
