IND vs Sl Highlights: 

India has confirmed its place in the semi-finals by defeating Sri Lanka by 302 runs, and India also remains on top in the points table. This is India's 7th consecutive victory in the World Cup 2023. India has not lost any match in this World Cup yet.

India's innings: 

After winning the toss, Sri Lanka chose bowl first. Rohit Sharma, who came to open for India, was out on the second ball of Madhusanka, which was a big blow to India. But Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli handled the Indian innings. Together they made a big partnership of 189 runs and gave a strong start to India. 

Gill and Virat's partnership : 

Shubman Gill scored 92 runs in 92 balls, which included 2 sixes and 11 fours, while on the other end, Virat Kohli also played a brilliant innings, he scored 88 runs in 94 balls with 11 fours. Together they made a big partnership of 189 runs and gave a strong start to India. But both the batsmen missed scoring a century. If Virat Kohli had scored this century, he would have come equal to Sachin Tendulkar with 49 centuries, and if Shubman had scored a century, it would have been his first century in the World Cup.

Shreyas Iyer : 

After the dismissal of Shubman and Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul took over the Indian innings. Both played good innings in the middle of the match. Shreyas Iyer also played a big innings for India. He scored 82 runs in 56 balls which included 3 fours and 6 Sixs. KL Rahul, who was supporting Shreyas Iyer, lost his wicket on 21 runs in the middle. But Shreyas Iyer took this innings till the end, and in the end, after hitting two sixes, he lost his wicket while attempting another big hit. In the end Jadeja along with Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah took the Indian innings to 357. Jadeja scored 35 runs for india in 24 balls.

Sri Lanka Bowling: 

Sri Lanka's bowling was nothing special, although in the beginning Madhushanka tried to put pressure on India by dismissing Rohit Sharma on the second ball. But Virat and Gill dashed Sri Lanka's hopes by playing big innings.
Madhushanka took the most 5 wickets for Sri Lanka, while Chameera got 1 wicket. Jadeja and Mohammed Shami reached the pavilion due to run out.

Sri Lanka's innings: 

The batting of Sri Lankan team, which came to chase the target of 358 runs, was nothing special. Jasprit Bumrah gave a big blow to Sri Lanka by getting Nissanka out LBW on the first ball of his first over. Mohammad Siraj, who came to bowl the second over, also gave another big blow to Sri Lanka by dismissing Karunaratne LBW on the first ball of his first over.Mohammed Siraj ended all the hopes of Sri Lanka by dismissing Sadeera Samarawickrama in his first over.

Five Sri Lankan batsmen including Pathum Nissanka, Dimuth Karunaratne, Sadeera Samarawickrama, Dushmantha Chameera, Dushan Hemantha were out on zero without making any runs. Sri Lankan captain Kushal Mendis could also score only 1 run and was bowled out in the second over of Mohammed Siraj.

Other Sri Lankan batsmen also did not score much runs, Charith Asalanka scored 1 run in 24 balls, Angelo Mathews scored 12 runs in 25 balls, Maheesh Theekshana scored 12 runs in 23 balls, Kasun Rajitha scored 14 runs in 17 balls and Dilshan Madushanka scored 5 runs in 5 balls.

India's bowling: 

Like the Asia Cup final, in this match also the Indian bowlers opened fire against the Sri Lankan batsmen. Starting the bowling, Jasprit Bumrah got Pathum Nissanka out LBW on the first ball of his first over. On the other hand, Mohammad Siraj took 3 wickets in his first two overs which included the wickets of Dimuth Karunaratne, Sadeera Samarawickrama and Kushal Mendis. 

Mohammed Shami's five-paw :

Mohammed Shami once again demonstrated his bowling brilliantly and took five wickets. Mohammed Shami sent Charith Asalanka, Angelo Mathews, Dushmantha Chameera, Dushan Hemantha, Kasun Rajitha to the pavilion. Jadeja dismissed Dilshan Madushanka to end Sri Lanka's innings on 55 runs and help India win by 302 runs.

IND vs SL : This match was one sided match, while batting first, India scored 357 runs, on the other hand, while chasing this target, Sri Lankan team was all out for just 55 runs. And India won a big win by 302 runs
